Renewal of vows ceremony
Married couples and couples who have committed to a civil partnership can renew their vows by holding a renewal of vows ceremony. These ceremonies do not have a legal status.
A registrar will hold the ceremony on your behalf, and you will receive a commemorative certificate.
It is possible to include your choice of readings and music in the ceremony. However, religious readings or music will not be allowed.

How much will the ceremony cost?
- ceremonial room at a registry office, Monday - Thursday: £126 (including VAT)
- ceremonial room at a registry office, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday: £138 (including VAT)
- approved hotel/property: £200 (including VAT)
(please note: the hotel/property's fees will be additional to this)
How and when to pay?
The £30 deposit will need to be paid before the date and location of the ceremony can be confirmed with the registration service. The remainder of the fee can either be paid to the registrar when you meet before hand to discuss the ceremony in detail, or on the day of the ceremony.
The fee can be paid either by cash, debit / credit card, cheque or postal order made payable to 'Gwynedd Council'.
