Date 30/01/2017

Did you know that around 350 social housing units became available to let in rural areas of Gwynedd in 2016?

These are social Housing for rent, and range from housing for families to flats for single people and couples as well as provision for older people. Social housing are located across in communities across the county.

Councillor Ioan Thomas, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member with responsibility for housing said: "Whilst there is a need for affordable rented properties in Gwynedd, some opportunities are also available, not only in the main towns, but also in our rural areas. It is good to know that there are quality, affordable properties becoming vacant to be let on a daily basis in Gwynedd.

"At the end the National Rural Housing Week, I would encourage anyone who has a connection with Gwynedd and is looking for affordable properties for rent in the county to contact the Gwynedd Housing Options team to register their interest."

The Gwynedd Housing Options team works in partnership with Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, Grŵp Cynefin and North Wales housing. Over 600 social housing properties become vacant for letting annually in Gwynedd.
