New Fitness rooms for Gwynedd Leisure Centres

Gwynedd Leisure Centers have received new equipment in their fitness rooms.

The fitness room includes top of the range cardiovascular equipment as well as weight lifting equipment. How would you like to watch your favourite TV programme or send emails while participating in physical activity? With the new 'Pulse' cardiovascular equipment it is possible to do so! It is also possible to connect your smart phone to the equipment.

Councillor Mair Rowlands, Gwynedd Council's Cabinet Member for Healthy Gwynedd said:

"Caernarfon; Pwllheli and Porthmadog Leisure Centres received the new equipment in April 2016. Following the success of the equipment at the three leisure centres, as well as an increase in the number of members of the centres, the decision was made to expand the offer to other leisure centres in Gwynedd. This is a very exciting project that is going to be beneficial to residents across Gwynedd. "

Our in-gym kiosk will allow you to access a virtual personal trainer and plan your workout. The PulseMove mobile app, available on Android and iOS, provides you with a quick, hassle-free way of recording activity anytime, anywhere; including in the group cycling studio or out on a bike. The app includes real-time GPS tracking and mapping. It will also allow you to monitor fitness data such as calories burned, distance and speed, to set personal goals, view reports and share your data socially with friends.
