Cyngor Gwynedd holding cost of living sessions jointly with Citizens Advice

Date: 21/08/2023

A series of cost of living support sessions will be held by Cyngor Gwynedd in collaboration with Citizens Advice at Porthmadog Library (Canolfan Glaslyn) every fortnight from 26 June onwards, between 10am-1pm.

With the cost of living crisis continuing to make things difficult for many local people, Cyngor Gwynedd specialist officers will be available during the sessions to offer advice on areas including:

• living expenses

• benefits and Personal Independence Payments (PIP),

• support for veterans,

• debt relief

• food banks.

• energy in the home.

Councillor Nia Jeffreys, Deputy Leader of Cyngor Gwynedd Gwynedd, said:

"We are very proud to be able to work together with Citizens Advice to outline the support that is available here in Gwynedd. Any of us can fall behind with bills, but it's never too late to ask for help and advice.

"I encourage anyone who finds it difficult to come along to the sessions to see what help is available from the Council and further.

"Remember that an appointment needs to be made for the sessions and you can do this by calling Porthmadog Library 01766 514091."
