Submitting a planning application

Planning portal

Some people choose to contact us directly while others choose to go through an agent / architect.

Before you submit a planning application we strongly recommend that you ask for pre-application advice from the Planning Service. You will also need to ensure that you have read and understood the Validation requirements. If you intend to submit a planning application for one or more wind turbines, you should also read the Wind Turbines Applications Checklist.

For information about planning fees, go to the planning fees / how to pay page on this website.

Submitting a planning application online
We recommend that you submit your planning application online using the Planning Portal website. All the information you need in order to submit your application is available on the website:

REMEMBER! If the development is within Snowdonia National Park, you will need to contact the Snowdonia National Park Authority not Gwynedd Council. To see whether the development is within the National Park, look at the map - Snowdonia National Park Area.
