Community toilet grant scheme

Would your business be prepared to open your toilet to the public?

If so, you could receive a payment of up to £500 for joining the council’s new community toilet scheme.

As a Council, we are eager to work with local businesses such as pubs, post offices and shops to provide cleaner, safer and more accessible toilets for the general public.

We will receive grant funding from the Welsh Assembly Government which will enable us to pay businesses up to £500 if they are prepared to allow the general public to use their businesses’ toilet.  The terms and conditions  can be found in the attachment on the bottom of this page.

If you are a business who is interested in participating in the scheme, you can download an application form from this website and return it to us by e-mail to: PublicToilets@gwynedd.gov.uk or post it to:

Peter Eifion Evans, Highways and Munucipal Service, Gwynedd Council, Stryd y Jêl, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SH.

PLEASE NOTE
: There is currently a waiting list to join the scheme.  Every application that we receive will be placed on the waiting list.

The businesses who are part of the scheme can be viewed on the community toilets page on this website.

Further information about the scheme can be found in the frequently asked questions - community toilet grant or by contacting the Council on 01766 771000 or PublicToilets@gwynedd.gov.uk
