NEUADD DWYFOR: THE FUTURE
Many friends and customers have been asking about the future of Neuadd Dwyfor recently, so here is a quick up-date. It should be noted from the very beginning that Gwynedd Council does not intend closing or selling Neuadd Dwyfor.
However at the moment we are holding discussions to see whether another body or organisation can run Neuadd Dwyfor’s services on behalf of Gwynedd Council. The Council intends to ensure that the current services of a theatre, cinema, exhibition space and community opportunities are protected here, and therefore no changes should have a negative effect on the service nor the experience provided to customers.
Discussions will continue over the coming months, and we will up-date you of any developments when appropriate. You will probably have noticed the renovation works that have been carried out recently to the building. This work will safeguard it for the future by installing new windows, a new ceiling in the auditorium, repairing the roof and replacing equipment.
