Monitoring Officer

The Council’s Monitoring Officer is Dilys Ann Phillips, Head of Democracy and Legal.

The Monitoring Officer has a statutory responsibility to ensure that the Councils operates in a lawful manner and that it does not do anything which could amount to maladministration.

If you have a complaint about something the Council has done please use the Complaints Procedure.

The Monitoring Officer is also responsible for the operation of the Members Code of Conduct, the Standards Committee and for maintaining the Council’s Constitution.

If you have a complaint that one of the councillors has breached the Code of Conduct please contact the Monitoring Officer or you may submit a formal complaint to the Ombudsman.
