At the moment concessionary bus passes in Wales are being updated and existing card holders should receive a new card that contains an electronic chip and new serial number. New ticket machines will also be installed on buses that will be able to read this electronic chip on the new card. This new card will offer exactly the same free entitlement as present.

Since completing the original application for such a pass the details of some applicants may have changed. Therefore if you have an existing bus pass but have either moved address or changed your surname, please could you inform us in writing (Cashiers Section, Treasurers Department, Gwynedd Council, Resources Directorate, Arfon Area Office, Penrallt, Caernarfon, Gwynedd.

LL55 1BN.) as soon as possible (enclosing relevant documentation), so that our records can be updated accordingly and your new card can be issued correctly.

Should your details remain unchanged, you will not be required to take any further steps and your card will be sent out automatically (along with further details).

Please ensure that you show your pass to the driver when boarding the bus at all times.
