The countdown to the Gwynedd and Môn Cycle Challenge has begun, and plans are well under way. With just days until Gwynedd Council’s free cycle competition begins, workplaces and community organisations across Gwynedd and Môn are signing up and raring to go.
Gwynedd and Anglesey Councils, Forestry Commission Wales, Snowdonia National Park and the Fire Service are just a small selection of the wide range of organisations that will be competing. Over 50 workplaces and 800 local people are expected to take part.
If you haven’t already signed up to the Challenge, there’s still plenty of time. All you have to do is register for free on the website www.gwyneddmoncyclechallenge.org.uk. It’s open to all those living or working in Gwynedd or Môn.
The Gwynedd and Môn Cycle Challenge will take place between Monday 2 and Sunday 22 July. It’s a fun and free competition where workplaces and community organisations compete to see who can get the most staff cycling. Journey times from as little as 10 minutes qualify and a host of exciting prizes are up for grabs, including a brand new bicycle.
The idea is to get as many people as possible to ride a bike. Participants can cycle at a time and then record their ride on the dedicated Gwynedd and Môn Cycle Challenge website www.gwyneddmoncyclechallenge.org.uk
