The first stages of preparing this plan involve collecting evidence about several matters, which include how and where residents and visitors to the area do their shopping.
The Councils have commissioned Applied Town Planning Limited to produce a retail study to assess the future needs for shopping facilities in Anglesey and Gwynedd. The study will provide a background technical document forming part of the evidence base for the Councils’ work in this field, which will outline the vision, objectives and strategy for the development of the Joint Local Development Plan area up to 2026.
The retail study will involve undertaking on-street surveys as well as household telephone surveys. RMG: Clarity will be helping Applied Town Planning Limited to undertake these surveys between 19 June and 13 July 2012.
For further information about the retail survey, please contact Paul Spivey at Applied Town Planning Limited on 0121 632 2088 or Heledd Fflur Jones from the Gwynedd and Anglesey Joint Planning Policy Unit on (01286) 679883.
