Congratulations to the pupils of Ysgol Brynrefail, Llanrug for becoming this year’s winners of the Gwynedd Council’s Trading Standards Young Consumers of the Year 2012 competition.

Ysgol Brynrefail pupils came out on top in the Gwynedd competition, winning a competitive quiz which included questions about various subjects about consumer rights and responsibilities, money and finance, safety and the environment. Following their success in the Gwynedd round, the school will now be representing the county in the national finals next week.

The Young Consumers of the Year is a unique competition, involving hundreds of schools and pupils across the country, who want to be part of the challenge to become the nation’s top Young Consumers of the Year 2012.

The four representatives from Ysgol Brynrefail who came out on top in the Gwynedd competition were: Ffion Erin Williams, Ffion Wyn Roberts, Lloyd Hughes and Tudur Williams.
