Swimmers from all over Gwynedd came together recently to take part in the world’s biggest fundraising swim.
Swimathon took place between 8 - 10 April and saw more than 17,000 swimmers take part at over 580 pools nationwide, including the Arfon Leisure Centre, Caernarfon.
The Swimathon event started in 1986 and since then more than half a million swimmers have taken part raising over £34 million for charity.
Duncan Goodhew, Olympic gold medalist and Swimathon President said: "Swimathon provides motivation and a personal challenge to swimmers nationwide. It also offers a goal to train for, a target to achieve and a great cause to support."
Gerallt Roberts, Arfon Leisure Centre Manager said: "I would like to thank everyone that took part in the Swimathon and everyone that was involved in organising the event. We hope that people will continue to train for other events at the pool and make the most of the excellent facility we have in our area."
