Snow and ice

On this page you will find information about Council services during periods of snow. Information can also be found on Gwynedd Council’s Twitter account.

Roads and highways

First Priority Routes in Gwynedd, including main roads, bus routes and roads to hospitals are gritted when there are forecasts of snow and/or ice. The priority 1 gritting routes are viewable on our interactive maps

When we expect hard ice, or when snow has fallen, other roads will be treated after we ensure Primary Routes are clear.
