Changes to waste collections - Dwyfor Area

(go to the bottom of the page for information about the Meirionnydd and Arfon area)

A new waste collection service has been introduced in the Dwyfor area.

The residual waste collection service for Dwyfor – that is the green wheelie bin or three black sacks for the few leftover things that cannot be recycled or composted, such as polythene or ashes - will be collected every three weeks instead of the current fortnightly collection.

There will be no change to other collections in Dwyfor:

  • recycling (blue box / Cartgylchu) – no change, weekly collection continue
  • food waste (brown food bin) – no change, weekly collections continue
  • garden waste (brown wheelie bin) – no change, collection every two weeks.

For further information view the video on YouTube.

Why are the collections changing?
There are four main reasons for changing the collections - see the waste information leaflet.
