An opportunity for future authors to get a taste for writing

Members of the Gwynedd Writing Squad will have the chance to go back in time with the poet Twm Morys as they write about their experiences in a traditional round house.

Members of the squad, who are all children who have showed an exceptional talent for creative writing, will meet at the Felin Uchaf Centre, Rhoshirwaun, near Aberdaron, and write about their experiences there. They will have a chance to wander in the gardens and taste the produce from the garden at lunch time.

Gwen Lasarus, Literature Promoter for Gwynedd said:

“This is a chance for the children to go back to their roots to taste their past and to taste food which has come straight from the soil - a chance to work and enjoy in a relaxed environment, far from the pressures of a busy world.”

For more information about the Gwynedd Writing Squad, contact Gwen Lasarus of the Gwynedd Literature Promotion scheme on 01286 679465 or email: gwenlasarus@gwynedd.gov.uk

The Gwynedd Literature Promotion Scheme is supported by the Academi and Gwynedd Council. The Academi is the Welsh National Literature Promotion Agency and Society for Writers.
