“Value of the Environment” in Gwynedd

Those who strive to protect and improve the environment in Gwynedd are invited to attend the annual conference of the Gwynedd Environmental Partnership held at Craflwyn, Beddgelert on Thursday, 6 December.

The conference, held from 9.30am until 3.15pm will concentrate on the opportunities to make the best value of the environment in Gwynedd, doing so in a friendly manner.

Delegates will hear presentations on four elements which include outdoor activities, agriculture, the public sector and the use of sustainability as an economic resource, with workshops in the afternoon concentrating on how we can inspire the younger generation to make the most of the environment.

Gwynedd Environmental Partnership Chairman, Geraint George said:

"Everyone living and working in Gwynedd is extremely lucky. The whole region is a mosaic of spectacular landscapes, unique culture and rich wildlife.

“The aim of the conference is to examine how we can take advantage of this fantastic environmental asset in a sustainable way for the future benefit of our communities and especially for our young people."

Delegates who arrive at the event via public transport, car share, cycle or walk will have an opportunity to win a box of local products or a basket of environmentally friendly cleaning products.

If you intend to attend the conference, or for further information, call 01286 679652 or e-mail PartneriaethAmgylcheddol@gwynedd.gov.uk
