Resting on the lower slopes of Moel Smytho, this sheltered woodland is an excellent hideaway for Gwyrfai Valley wildlife. Established as a local nature reserve in 1994, Parc Dudley gives you a chance to walk amongst native species of hidden birds, plants and animals, some uncommon such as the pied flycatcher which travels all the way from Africa to nest on the reserve.
Located on the lower part of the reserve is a small circular walk near the car park and picnic area, from where you can see and hear a variety of birds and other smaller animals and invertebrates. For the more adventurous, there is also a 1 kilometre circular path around the rest of the woodland, which in some parts is rather steep, and can be wet under foot at certain times of the year.
Open to the public all year round, Parc Dudley gives you the opportunity to slip quietly away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The reserve is located along side the A4085 just to the south of Waunfawr village (SH 527 585).
