As part of Gwynedd’s commitment to reduce the number of empty properties within the county, Gwynedd Council and its partners has developed the Gwynedd Empty Homes Strategy 2009-2012.

The Strategy was adopted as an operational document by Gwynedd Council during October 2009.
The empty homes strategy will offer support, information, advice and guidance to help bring these properties back into use and to tackle the problems often associated with long term empty homes.
The Empty Homes Strategy is a sub-strategy that lies below the main Gwynedd Local Housing Strategy (2009–2012) and shall contribute towards the long term vision [to 2021] for Housing in Gwynedd which is the need to improve the supply, quality, affordability and suitability of the housing stock.
