There are record offices in both Caernarfon and Dolgellau.

Online access is available to the Gwynedd Archives' On-line Catalogue service, which includes 12,000 pages and 2,000 images.

The site also provides information on the collections available, the policies and prices, in addition to access to a number of leaflets covering such topics as tracing family roots, and history of your house.

The Meirionnydd Record Office, Dolgellau, is closed the first week of November annually for stocktaking.
